Becoming a Catholic
The Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults (RCIA) meets on Tuesday nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
All who are interested in becoming a member of the Roman Catholic Church are

Bible Study
Bible Study groups meet regularly at John XXIII. Current Schedule:
Sunday at 10:10 am & 7:30 p.m. (Further exploration of the Sunday Scriptures),
Monday at 8:00 p.m. (New Testament in the order it was written). For more

Sunday School
Sunday School is offered between the 9:00 am and 11:15 am masses on Sundays
through the school year. Sunday school is open to Kindergarteners through
Twelfth graders and provides a warm environment in which children and young
adults can learn and grow in their Catholic faith. For more information, contact

Youth Ministry
A fellowship and discussion group for high school. Meets on Sundays

Contemplative Prayer Group
Meets Monday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. The group meets monthly for an extended program.
Spirituality Workshops
Learn more about the rich spirituality of Christianity and other

Paulist Associates
The Paulist Fathers invite parishoners to become lay associates of the community.
Associates live the mission and charism of the Paulists in their own lives.

Haiti Outreach
John XXIII reaches out to the Haitian Community through the Children's
Nutrition Program of Haiti. Parishioners support this outreach financially
and through Mission trips to Haiti. For more info contact Dr.

Interfaith Hospitality Network
John XXIII partners with Ball Camp Baptist Church to provide hospitality
and housing to homeless families on a quarterly basis. Our next opportunity
to serve in this ministry will be mid November. For more

Pregnancy Help Center
Catholic Charities of East Tennessee has a a satillite office for
their Pregnancy Help Center at John XXIII. The Center offers 24-hour hotline
for pregnancy counseling, adoption services, and Project Rachel, the Catholic
Church's healing ministry to women and men who have been involved in abortion..
